Gold lace

Gold edging
Around 1992 I did a class with Lennie Posthumus about gold lace. She taught us the make gold lace the way it was done in Abenberg. During that course we made several samples with the different threads like the thin, smooth "Zeug", the ticker, twisted "Kraus" and the flat "Plett".

She taught us also how to insert the little round "Flinterchen" in the lace.
The edgings on this page and the page about the lace museum in Abenberg I made during that course.
