Designing and drawing of lace patterns.

After several years of making lace according to existing patterns the need to design lace by myself came.

In recent years I use besides pen and paper the computer for drawing and designing. I use a Macintosh computer and Adobe Illustrator CS4. For the best use of the program, which I probably still not can, practice is needed and tips how the program can do the word for you. Besides the manuals the book “Let's Draw Lace Pattern With A Computer” by Etsuko Haraga is a great help.

To give visitors of this site an insight how lace patterns can be made on the computer without using special lace programs but just a normal drawing program, I decided to make some examples and explain it. Also without special lace programs you can make excellent lace patterns on the computer.
It is fair to say the Adobe Illustrato is a very sophisticated drawing program, which offers may possibilties
This program can also be used with Windows.
