Rosaline lace
Rosaline lace is a bobbin lace made in parts. It was developed in the second half of the 19th century. Like the Duchess she comes from the Vieux Bruxelles. Typical of the Rosaline as the name suggests, are the roses, which occur frequently in the lace.
Rosaline lace is made with only a few pairs, about 7. Certain technical aspects indicate that the speed of working was important. Between different parts of the motif pairs are not tied off, but led to another component. Even if this can not be started immediately adjacent to the end of the previous section .
There is also a Rosaline Perlé. In this lace a needle lace pearl is attached to the heart of flowers.
